Who We Are

The Christopher Richard James Tromans Foundation

This charity is to honour Christopher as he was a truly special person, and we miss him immensely.  Although Christopher experienced this life limiting condition, he led a full life.  He was such a warm, friendly, outgoing person that quickly made friends and had a huge positive impact on everyone he met. Christopher never asked for any special treatment or allowances but he enriched our lives and we have a number of special memories that we all cherish.  Christopher did have a short life but it was full of happy memories with friends and family alike, enjoying parties and holidays. His generosity would shine through and what we are doing carrying on his legacy to ensure other children can make memories and are supported to stay connected.  The primary aim is to ensure that we help children with Liver disease have some joy, as that is what he brought us.

The Charity is registered with the Charities Commission: https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5163449/charity-overview

Our Purpose

The Foundation's purpose is to preserve and protect the good health of children and adolescents who have a liver condition by:

  • Raising awareness of the existence and impact of liver conditions in children and adolescents

  • Providing restricted donations through a nominated specialist centre to those directly affected by such a condition, where the child/adolescent is receiving medical treatment in order to provide some level of emotional respite for a nominated child/adolescent and/or family by facilitating or provision of a specialist treat or opportunity, such as a birthday party, or equipment to help maintain contact with friends and family
